4 Benefits of Getting a Tire Rotation

Your tires are necessary when it comes to getting you from one place to another. If you don't maintain these components, you could find yourself broken down on the side of the road. Taking the time to take care of your tires is imperative. There are benefits to getting a tire rotation at your Toyota dealer. 4 Benefits of Getting a Tire Rotation at a Toyota Dealer 1. You'll Ensure Even Wear of the Tires All of your tires are touching the road at the same time, so you might think that they are all wearing down the same, but this isn't true. Each one will wear in a different way, and this will impact how your car drives and handles. When you rotate your tires, you'll even the wear patterns and ensure that each one wears the same as the others. more 2. You'll Improve the Ride and Safety Uneven wear means that the tread isn't connecting with the road equally. This could increase the number of bumps you feel, as well as make it more challenging to stop or turn on the road's surface. Rotating your tires on a regular basis not only keeps you safe but makes the ride smoother as well.   In addition to feeling more bumps in the road, uneven tread wear could increase vibrations on smooth surfaces—and you're going to feel those in your steering wheel. Not only could this cause discomfort when you're driving, but you may also lose your grip. If you aren't holding on to the steering wheel, this could create a dangerous situation for you and others on the road. 3. You Can Reduce Road Noise Tires with uneven tread wear can become incredibly loud while driving down the road. If you want to enjoy peace and quiet or be able to hear your music without having to turn it super loud to drown out the sounds from your tires, get them rotated on a regular basis. 4. You'll Save Money Rotating your tires so that they wear evenly means you don't have to replace them as often, and this will save you a lot of money. You'll also save yourself time and effort because you can get all of the tires replaced at one time, rather than having to go back to replace these components one at a time.   Rotating your tires is part of car maintenance, and it should be done on a regular basis. How often you need to have your tires rotated will depend on several factors, including how frequently you drive, the road surfaces you drive on, and the type of tire you have. If you need your car serviced or are ready to shop for a new one, visit Cloninger Toyota today.

Does Your Toyota Need a Transmission Repair?

A smooth-running transmission is as vital for your Toyota as a smooth-running engine. The engine and transmission work together to move your car. The engine provides the power, and the transmission translates this power into a usable form to move your wheels. Like all mechanical systems, the transmission can develop problems, and you'll need a transmission repair. As your Toyota dealer, we can repair any transmission problem. These are a few signs that you'll need a repair. Signs You Need a Transmission Repair at Your Toyota Dealer Fluid Leak Transmission fluid is the lifeblood of your transmission. The fluid reduces the transmission temperature and lubricates all of the moving parts. Many of the transmission parts depend on friction to work, and the fluid provides a friction barrier to protect these parts. This fluid also provides the hydraulic power that your gears need to shift easily. A fluid leak is usually easy to spot, as transmission fluid is bright or dark red. It can leak from a worn transmission pan gasket, a blown seal, or damage to the transmission cover. If the leak continues, your gears will become more difficult to shift, and your transmission will start to overheat. An overheating transmission can lead to serious damage. Our technicians can trace the leak and repair it. more Burning Smells Your transmission fluid needs to be replaced regularly according to your car's service schedule. The reason for this is transmission fluid gradually loses its special properties. As the fluid circulated through the transmission, it accumulates rust, dirt, and other debris. This accumulation of debris makes the fluid thicker and more sluggish. The slower-moving fluid leads to an increase in your transmission's temperature. The aging fluid will gradually lose its heat-resistant properties, and the increasing transmission temperature can cause the fluid to burn. Burning transmission fluid smells similar to burning rubber. If smell rubber burning, your fluid may need to be changed. Our technicians can check the fluid, flush your transmission if required, and replace the fluid. Driving Feels Unstable Your Toyota transmission should shift easily as you or your transmission computer shift gears. Over time, you may notice a jerk-like pull from your automatic transmission when the gears shift. This jerking movement starts gradually and will become more violent as time passes. As the problem becomes more serious, your transmission may shake as it shifts gears. A manual transmission produces grinding noises as you shift gears, and shifting becomes more difficult. One of the main causes of these problems is a lack of fluid. Our technicians can check the fluid and replace it. Your transmission will always show signs that something is wrong. If you have a transmission problem, call us ASAP at Cloninger Toyota.

Time for a New Car Air Filter? Visit Your Salisbury Toyota Dealer

Your engine requires a huge amount of air. Your car air filter removes pollen, dirt, dead insects, and other debris. The filtered air then enters your engine where it's used for combustion. Your filter will eventually clog up and will need to be replaced. As your Toyota dealer, we can easily replace the filter for you. These are some of the signs that your filter needs to be changed. Signs You Need a New Car Air Filter From Your Toyota Dealer A Strong Smell of Gas When your engine is running normally, it doesn't produce any smell. If you start to smell a strong scent of gas, your air filter could be the problem. Combustion requires fuel, air, and a spark. Fuel enters the intake manifold when you step on the gas pedal and air enters through the air filter. These two substances mix in the manifold and are then injected into the cylinders. more If your air filter is blocked, it will prevent air from entering your engine. Without enough air, your engine will become fuel-rich, as there is more fuel than air in the system. The vapors from this excess fuel will blow into your cabin. This is also a sign that your engine is wasting gas. Once our technicians replace the filter, the smell of gas will disappear. Black Smoke from the Exhaust Black exhaust smoke is a sign that there's a large percentage of unburnt fuel being ejected from your engine. Combustion requires 14:1 air to fuel, but a blocked air filter will reduce the amount of air that enters your engine. Once the fuel-rich mix is injected into the cylinders, it's compressed before its ignited. A lack of air will also reduce the level of compression. The spark plugs require air to ignite correctly. If there isn't enough air, much of the fuel in the cylinders won't burn. The unburnt fuel is ejected from the cylinders and forced into the exhaust system. The unburnt fuel will exit the exhaust as thick black smoke. This smoke is hazardous as it contains a large percentage of polluting chemicals. Your Filter Is Dirty We check your air filter according to your car's service schedule. If you drive in areas with large amounts of dust or sand, your filter may need to be changed more frequently. The filter will start to block up as it accumulates dirt. You can check the condition of your filter by opening the filter box in your engine. If the filter looks brown or black, it's blocked and needs to be replaced. If you have any signs of an air filter problem, call us right away at Cloninger Toyota. We can speedily replace the filter for you.

8 Benefits of Getting Car Financing at Your Toyota Dealer

If you're looking for a secure financial plan, one of the best decisions you can make is to get financing at your Toyota dealer. Getting car financing at your dealer comes with several benefits. Plus, it's fast and usually the most affordable option. 8 Benefits of Getting Car Financing at Your Toyota Dealer 1. You Don't Have to Pay a Deposit Unlike banks, dealers don't charge a deposit fee when you take out financing. Not only does this save you money, but it also helps your credit score because you don't start accruing interest from the moment you sign on the dotted line. more 2. Flexibility to Change Your Loan Terms & Conditions Dealerships offer more flexible terms and conditions. They're flexible enough to set special payment arrangements in case you want to pay off your loan early or change it to a different model. 3. Your Interest Rates Stay Low The interest rates offered by dealerships are almost always lower than those charged by credit card companies and banks. When you finance with Toyota, your dealer will shop for loans and pick the best deal for you instead of getting one loan from a single source. 4. You Get a Fast Decision Due to their fast approval procedures, you can get your car financed in hours. This is generally faster than going through a bank or other financial institution. It also gives you peace of mind that you aren't missing out on any additional opportunities because of an approval process that takes longer than expected. 5. You Get Pre-Qualified Before You Visit the Dealership You can get pre-qualified before you stop by the dealership, which means your loan application will go through with no further need for additional documents. This process usually takes just a few minutes and makes it easier for you to decide whether or not you'd like to take out financing with your dealer. 6. You Can Get Car Finance with Less Than Perfect Credit Dealers offer financing to drivers with sub-par credit scores. You can get financing from your dealer even if you've had some issues with your credit report or if you have had a bankruptcy in the past. 7. You Can Get an Instant Trade-In Value Your dealer will help you determine the value of your current vehicle and give you an instant trade-in value. They'll also help you sell your old car on your own. This means you won't be tied to the dealership and can get a better trade-in deal. 8. You Can Finance an Entire Fleet of Vehicles If you're running a business, you can get financing for multiple vehicles at once. You won't have to apply for loans for each vehicle individually, and your dealer can even offer fleet discounts. 2022 Toyota Avalon Hybrid

4 Favorite Features of the 2022 Toyota Avalon Hybrid

The Toyota Avalon has long been a favorite sedan for drivers who want the best in power, comfort, and style. And the 2022 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is no different. Drivers will love the elegant exterior, the attention to detail on the interior, and the money they will save by not having to fill up the tank as much! See what we love about this year's version of the Toyota Avalon Hybrid. 4 Favorite Features of the 2022 Toyota Avalon Hybrid 1. An Enhanced Hybrid Battery Warranty While this first entry to our list is not a feature of the car per se, we love the fact that Toyota stands behind its vehicles. The Toyota Avalon, just like all of Toyota's other hybrids, comes standard with a 10-year, 150,000-mile warranty on its hybrid battery. That way, you can drive with confidence knowing that you have the manufacturer behind you. more 2. Sportscar-Inspired Performance The Avalon's features that contribute to its impressive performance stats begin with its exterior design. The front bumper features tangential vents that increase aerodynamic efficiency, and an available rear spoiler helps to maintain traction when driving at high speeds. Combining those two features with underbody panels can reduce the Avalon Hybrid's drag coefficient to just 0.27, making the vehicle even quieter and more fuel-efficient. One of the things that hinders many hybrid cars' performance is the weight of their heavy batteries. But the Avalon uses a compact battery in order to shave weight from its body and improve acceleration. And drivers will really feel like they're in control with the Avalon's sequential Shiftmatic system, which mimics the feel of driving a manual-transmission vehicle. Driving a hybrid has never been as fun! 3. The Best in Technological Amenities The 2022 Avalon is just bursting to the brim with exciting technological features, and this starts with the sound system. The available JBL audio system is equipped with 1200 watts, 14 speakers, and 7.1-channel surround sound to make your drive as immersive as possible. Moving from the speakers to the display, you'll be able to control some of your favorite apps through the integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, letting you keep your attention to where it's most needed: the road ahead. If you don't like having a cluster of charging cables obscuring your view of the control panel, you'll be happy to hear that the 2022 Avalon comes with a Qi-compatible wireless charging station underneath the center stack. For those in the back seat, there are 2 USB ports that will allow everyone in the car to stay charged and ready to go. 4. Superior Safety The most important thing any vehicle needs to do is keep its occupants safe and secure. The Avalon accomplishes this through Toyota's Safety Sense 2.5+ system. This comprehensive system includes a full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, a pre-collision prevention system with pedestrian detection, and land departure alerts. You've never been in better hands. Come check out the 2022 Avalon Hybrid today at Cloninger Toyota!
