Salisbury Farmer’s Market
This thriving weekend market in the center of town attracts farmers and customers from far and wide. Here, you’ll find all kinds of fruits, vegetables, meats, bread, baked treats, flowers, and also various locally made arts and crafts. The prices are great, and the vendors are prompt and cheerful. The overall atmosphere is generally very jovial, and you can even sometimes see live entertainment here.
Over the years, this excellent market has become something of a staple of the local community. You can find it every Saturday from 8 am to 12 am at the Railwalk Pavilion downtown at 228 East Kerr Street. The only time of year that it doesn’t open is during winter, from mid-December to mid-April.
Father & Son Produce Market
On the western side of town, you’ll find another popular market offering the produce of local farms, including a few Amish farmers. This large market is open every day except Sunday, making it a very convenient place to stock regularly up on fresh fruit and veggies. When you visit to explore, you’ll find wonderful selections of cheeses, butter, jellies, jams, honey, dipping sauces, nuts, seeds, pork, beef, chicken, ice cream, and plenty more besides.
It’s a very clean and professional market that’s a treat to stroll around with an ice cream in hand while you’re shopping on a nice warm day. Not only are the products farm-fresh and delicious, but the prices are generally very competitive too. You’ll find the market at 1774 Sherrills Ford Road.
