New for 2022
The Camry Hybrid has received a few notable upgrades for 2022. A Nightshade edition with a dynamic appearance package has been added to the line-up of trims available. Two new colors have been added to the extensive range, and the front fender hybrid badges have been removed.
Affordable Trims
The 2022 Camry Hybrid is available in five trim levels, all with highly competitive pricing. The price only increases by around $5,000 from the base LE sedan to the most premium XSE trim.
Hybrid Engine Performance
All 2022 Camry Hybrid models are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force engine, an electric motor, and an advanced lithium-ion battery. The combined output is a zippy 208 horsepower.
FWD and Transmission Configuration
All trims of the 2022 Camry Hybrid feature an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission that feeds power to the front wheels. The ECVT features a sequential shift mode that creates artificial gears for manual manipulation. The feeling is similar to manually changing gears with an automatic transmission.

The base system also provides owners with a SiriusXM satellite radio, two USB ports, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth music streaming capability. Upper-level trims sport a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen and come with navigation and one of the two premium audio system upgrades.
