2021 Toyota Avalon Hybrid

The 2021 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is available in three unique trim levels, XLE, XSE, and Limited. On the base trim XLE, you get LED headlights and LED taillights, heated power exterior mirrors, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The XSE trim moves you up to 18-inch dark-painted wheels, while the Limited upgrades you to 18-inch chrome wheels and adaptive cornering headlights. All three trims come with color-keyed door handles and a shark-fin antenna. A power tilt/slide moonroof with a sliding sunshade is standard on the XSE and Limited and optional on the XLE.

The same engine powers all three trims, a hybrid 2.5-liter dynamic force four-cylinder DDOHC 16-valve D-4S dual injection with VVT-iE. This engine gets up to 176 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 163 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 to 5,600 rpm. The 2.5-liter engine is paired with electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT) with sequential shiftmatic mode. The Avalon Hybrid is also only available in front-wheel drive.

Customize your driving experience with the selectable drive modes offered on the Avalon Hybrid. These modes include normal, eco, sport, and EV to match the conditions of any road or driver preferences. Other performance features include the power-assisted, ventilated front disc brakes and solid rear disc brakes with hydraulic brake booster, electronically controlled braking (ECB) system, integrated regenerative braking system, and Star Safety System. Hill-start assist control helps you tackle any steep incline.

Slide behind the wheel of the Avalon Hybrid, and you'll understand that Toyota takes comfort and luxury seriously. The XLE starts off with simulated leather upholstery, heated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear air vents. You also get a 9-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, along with four USB ports.

The XSE adds paddle shifters and a wireless charging station. With the Limited, you'll enjoy a heated steering wheel, head-up display, 14-speaker audio system, and leather upholstery. There are also ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, wood interior trim, and ambient lighting, all standard on the Limited. Regardless of the trim you pick, you'll be riding in style in the Avalon Hybrid.

Toyota knows that safety is a priority when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle and offers the Toyota Safety Sense P system on the Avalon Hybrid. Standard safety and driver assistance features include collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. You can add the Advanced Safety package to upgrade to a surround-view camera, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic braking. In the event of an accidental collision, the advanced air bag system featuring ten air bags will help keep everyone protected.
