The RAV4 standard trim is equipped with an athletic 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces up to 203 horsepower. Its 8-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with limited-slip differential provides effortlessly nimble steering and tight braking.

The CR-V base model supplies its own 4-cylinder engine that reaches the 184-horsepower threshold. It’s  managed via a Continuously Variable Transmission. While that power is adequate for daily driving, it falls a bit behind what the Toyota SUV is capable of.
